Nothing particularly wedding related, but one thing I would recommend as a suggestion for guests looking for something to do in Santa Barbara if they have spare time is go whale watching on The Condor Express: http://condorcruises.com/

We went there for a vacation summer before last and it was honestly one of the best experiences of my life- the staff was fantastic, we did a half day cruise and saw a dozen humpback whales really, really close up (early June) and were in the middle of several thousand dolphins feeding.  It cost around $75 a couple of years ago, and was more than worth it.

*sigh* Santa Barbara prices…just a few dollars more to everything! I am in the process of planning our wedding, so if I come across some tips I’ll be sure to post them

Where in Montecito are you getting married?

I’m planning my own wedding in Santa Barbara and learned that Ventura County vendors are less expensive and more cost effective. Since Ventura is only about a 30-45 minute drive to Santa Barbara, it’s definitely worth the savings without compromising quality for a dj, rentals, etc  Check out this Ventura County wedding resource at http://www.weddingcelebrations.com.
