I am looking for an affordable venue in Savannah or Charleston.. My budget is 10k including every last thing that goes into a wedding. The more input the better, because I actually live in Florida and have never been to either place. Any luck with low priced venues and catering for 100 people?

Not to be a downer but that’s going to be REALLY hard in charleston, especially not being local. Many of the churches charge multiple thousands just to have a ceremony if you aren’t a member. I’d reccomend staying out of the immediate charleston area, unless you’re looking for a really small wedding, in which case there are several nice restaurants with private rooms for ~25 people or less at your budget.
However, there are several parks and community centers with rental space that would be in your price range, if you are looking to go that route.

I’m looking to have it next May with about 100 guests. It doesn’t have to be right in either cities, I’ve been looking at Mt. Pleasant also.

whitney.is.amazing: Hey, I do hair and airbrush makeup for weddings here in Charleston, SC and I do onsite work at the different venues here in Charleston. Brides often talk about prices and quality, so I figured I would share with you some places that I have been to and heard great things about.
1. The Gatherings: Dorchester (money saver)
2. Charleston Harbor (Beautiful)
3. Island House
4. Crosbys Dock (Save $, rent boats)
5. http://www.upstairsatmidtown.com/ (Money and Time saver. Rooftop)
6. http://www.northcharleston.org/Residents/Arts-and-Culture/Facilities-and-Rentals.aspx (great deal)
Hope this helps. And if you need any other recommendations, let me know.
