Hello! This is my first time posting here 🙂 I just got engaged after 10 years and I am beyond excited to finally have our wedding, however, we are on a tight budget. I have been trying to find places that are rustic (or even just have a nice outside atmosphere, near a body of water, nice gardens….), have outside ceremony capabilities, offer catering, allow outside catering, pretty much open. I am having a really hard time finding something that is reasonable. I have seen some places that you can rent for around $2,500 then you need to find an outsider caterer and then it starts looking expensive. I want to try to keep the entire wedding under around 10K, maybe 12K at the most (that’s photography, venue, food, dress, everything)

I’d suggest you try looking at venues in Delaware – they have no sales tax. We’re in a Phila. suburb, and my daughter’s wedding was in Wilmington. We saved thousands in sales tax; all that was bought in PA were the gowns. If I remember correctly, Phila. has an 8% sales tax, and 10% on alcohol, vs. the rest of PA having a 6% tax.
We used this website, as well as weddingwire reviews, for venues and vendors:
