I’m starting to plan a winter wedding for this winter and I seem to be stumped in finding a venue to accomodate about 150 people at a reasonable rate. Even though winter is the slow season, every place I find seems to be charging $5K to rent the room + at least $60pp for food (not even including drinks or appetizers)!
I’m not looking for anything fancy but I would like to find something decent on a tight budget. Our ENTIRE wedding budget is $10K so spending $8-10K on a room and food is out of the question.
Do you guys have any suggestions? I’m not from the area so I’m in the dark about the hidden gems!
Here are some details:
- Winter Wedding (So reception must be indoors)
- 100-150 guests (including many children)
- Budget: $6,000 (must include all food, rentals, and room fees)
- Must have room to dance
Is this possible? I’d be open to having it in a nice heated barn. Doesn’t have to be a place that is traditional. Feel free to pimp out your family’s or acquaintances’ property! 🙂
Your help would be greatly appreciated!
