I would consider his Nationality and draw some wedding traditions from his particular culture. I personaly don’t like the idea of jumping the broom because anyone is yet to tell me what African tradition that stems from….while it honors our ancestors it’s more so an act of sdlave culture and we know our history stems far beyond that.

There are many options. You can do a taste of marriage ceremony, libations…..I found alot of good ideas in  this book called the African American Wedding Manual By Willie F. Wilson. It’s out of print I believe but I found a copy on Amazon for $3.00 and it is the bomb.com. The author is a pastor in the Christian tradition and he ties in scripture with many African traditions that can be incorporated into your wedding….there is even a full script….check it out girlfriend. you will love it.

I hope that helped!
