I really want to rock my wash-n-go, twist or voluminous wand curls with my veil. It’s cathedral length. I can’t find any pictures to make me comfortable with this decision…
My hair is kinda big…I don’t want it to look like a tent.

deigratia : Here is a natural hair Pinterest I’ve been looking at to try to make the exact same decision…

I have shoulder length unstretched 4c hair. I’m hoping to gain a few inches before my wedding next year. I tried a few veils on while trying on dresses…
Some looked good some looked bad but it defiantly is a different look when your hair goes either up or out with lots of volume.
I noticed lots of women went for that birdcage veil but they’re really out of style right now. You could also do flowers etc.

I am wearing an updo (probably with kinky extensions) and a cathedral veil! I am also gonna wear a flower headband with it. The veil will be attached to the bottom of my updo.

futuremrsdaniellebell : I’m thinking of doing kinky extensions too. I want to wear my hair down thouugh. I’m considering a drop circle veil or maybe a cathedral length… still not sure how I’ll pull it off. I’ll be back with updates.
This woman has hair nothing like mine but I love the way her short cut looks with a bridal veil…

Let me preface this by saying I am not an African American, but my daughter does hair and makeup for brides and pageant girls. She has several clients with ethnic hair. She encourages her clients to wear their hair natural because she thinks it is beautiful. She has long, stick-straight hair, and I think we naturally envy what we don’t have. She says some of her pageant girls are hesitant to compete with natural styles, but once they feel confident, they totally rock it, and they stand out and do really well in a sea of straightened and curled hair. So, I just wanted to add that because I think you should wear a veil if you WANT to wear a veil and not worry about what others have done. Do whatever makes you feel confident, and you will be gorgeous.

I have also been struggling with this decision because my natural hair is very very short and i still want to rock a veil so i have just decided to do me.

Not having my wedding until next year but I’m already wanting it big, wild and free with maybe a flower or some bling pieces.
