NO WAY!!! Everyone is welcomed to post in there! There are a lot of times I post in the AA section because it may be a question towards AA’s but in no way is that forum just for African Americans!
I look at it just like any other forum this site.. Just because someone may not be full figured, if they have the answer or an opinion to a question in that section they feel free to respond.
I just don’t like it when people feel like they can’t post in the AA section just because they aren’t black. Especially if it is a post about something generic.
Just my two cent 🙂 I don’t like people feeling left out or like they can’t respond to a post in that group.

AMEN! I totally agree with you, and really happy you posted this 🙂

Totally agree. I post in babies (never had a kid) LGBT and a host of other areas that I don’t necessarily “fit” into. Its a public board so everyone has an opportunity to respond.

very well said!!!!i agree….there is no discrimination on the bee!!

I saw the title and came in here to set someone straight about how inappropriate that is.
I feel the same way was thinking about that while i was looking on some other boards and thought it was kind of lame
Post # 9
I’ll post here! I’ve posted all over boards I don’t really fit in to, for better or worse. I’ll be honest, I have NO skill or experience when it comes to things like picking makeup for AA skin, so I won’t pipe up on those threads, but there is no reason that everyone has to stick to a narrow range of boards that directly applies to them.
Can I make a confession? The first post I saw on the Bee soliciting an opinion on dresses from “AA Brides”, I didn’t see the board category, and thought it was for “Alcoholics Anonymous”. I was like “why would their attire be so different?” I felt like such an idiot when I saw the board.

I love it!!!! But I have to admit that I love reading & posting here because the majority of AA Brides can usually relate to my vents/questions/and Oh H*yl Nawls without knee-jerk overreactions or basic misunderstandings. =}
Thanks for the post Ms Cupcake!!

@Cupcake1382: Thank you for posting this without being asked! I had always wondered, but posted anyways if it was something that I had some knowledge about, experience with or just wanted to join in : )
Thanks for this post

I thought it was for brides sporting Alfred Angelo products, so you’re not alone!

@baliahi1029: Pwahahahahha, not laughing at you but that was funny.

ive read a few threads (makeup, hair and lack of AA models/magazines) and that got me thinking because there are things that some of the ladies deal with that ive never even thought about – sadly the australian white only and european migrate policies of old (yes they actually existed) have a lot to answer to for my limited exposure growing up

Usually I figure that if someone posts a generic question in the AA board instead of the Beehive, it’s b/c they want an AA perspective. (Although I don’t alway hold back from offering my own fair skinned 2 cents worth, if my fingers are itchy…) But if it’s something like “Look at this Lovely Thing of AA Interest” or somesuch, I figure it’s for all of us to comment and enjoy. I’ve never felt like that was an exclusive board.

The title really threw me for a loop… I am so glad to read that everyone on here feels the same as I… I would have hated leaving the board because of some mess…. lol
