I love that there are lots of great ladies out there to talk to. I find that I can relate to a lot of you and get some great advice. I also love looking at the pictures of dresses, centerpieces etc and seeing everyone’s hard work.
I really love being on here and it helps pass a lot of time 🙂

Oh man, I love that I can waste away slow afternoons at work on here! I love the wedding talk, the other random stuff talk, the polls, and the dress and ring pictures. I love lurking on the intimacy boards. I really enjoy lurking on the TTC boards because while that is a long ways off for us, it is just FASCINATING and I have learned so much! I really appreciate how people share things here that I don’t talk about with my friends in real life!

I just want to thank you all for posting! While I didn’t participate in the craziness, I followed a lot of it, and it made me really sad, and we lost some good Bees over it. This thread really has shown me why I stick around here, and why I’ll probably be here after my wedding into the home-buying and TTC phases (woohooo!). We all need a thread of full happiness and positivity.
I also want to say – I love the Admin and Mods who keep the Bee the place we all love. They get a lot of crap for policies (that I agree, sometimes need to be explained better, and they do try their best to explain!), but I do think they all work really hard to keep this an upbeat, happy place while still allowing some healthy debate. So, thank you Admin and Mod teams for all of your work – I, for one, love all that you do!

I didn’t join the Hive until after my wedding. However, I have loved having the opportunity to reach out to other bees when they’ve encountered some of the issues that I’ve experienced and had to work through — specifically issues regarding not having their big days go quite according to plan, or dealing with the stresses of an LDR, or facing the challenges that newlywed life or blended families can bring, or the experience of being an older bride, etc.
I also really enjoy seeing and commenting on so many of the gorgeous dresses, accessories, rings, flowers, venues, etc. pictured here. I’ve also benefitted from others’ expertise and advice in areas where I was not as informed as they.
Finally, I truly have enjoyed having the opportunity to learn what other bees of various ages, backgrounds, geographic regions, faiths, cultures, and world views think about a number of topics.

I love the bee for girl talk. I loved it while planning my wedding – it was a great source of wedding ideas, DIY tips, etc!
I love it even more now that I am pregnant and have a group of amazing ladies to talk to about fears, joys, questions, anything!
I have learned from many bees and love hearing others opinions, even if I don’t always agree.

OMG STAMPS. Nobody IRL cared about my stamps either but they drove me INSANE.

I love it here for many reasons, but here’s one that comes to mind which kind of sums it up:
Me to friend: Look at this new picture I took of my engagement ring/strassed shoes/brooch bouquet etc…
Meanwhile, on WB
Hey hive: Look at this new picture I took of my engagement ring/strassed shoes/brooch bouquet etc…

I loved not feeling like I was the only woman in the world who got married a second time & had children when I got remarried. Most of my friends have been married a long time, several of them are divorced (with & without kids) & most of them were not in a “wedding frame of mind”. When I got married the first time, it was around the time that ALL of my friends were getting married…in my mid-20’s, every weekend seemed like it was an engagement party, wedding, shower, etc.
It was nice to have a forum to discuss concerns of being an older (30+) year old bride with kids, with concerns such as “who is going to watch my children while we are on our honeymoon”? Issues that first time & younger brides simplty don’t always have to deal with.

I love knowing all of these amazing, intelligent, creative women! The Bee seriously made my life 100% more awesome.

I love that I can be myself and voice my ideas and thoughts and most of the time I get nothing but love and support. This site is like my Bad Day Anonymous vent site. I know that if I am having trouble or issues I will have the support of my Bees!

I love bouncing ideas of people.
Like my RL friends are almost afraid to disagree with me when it comes to wedding ideas. I could say that i’ve decided to do the entire ceremony naked, and my SO is going to wear a fireman’s suit, while we get married infront of a shark tank, and the officant is a scuba diver in the tank. And everyone who attends needs to wear a large flamingo hat, a monocle and a dress (including the guys) covered in buttons. Oh and my Bridesmaids are gonna be carrying trash bags from their kitchen that night. And all my friends would rave about how creative and different it sounds (to my face). But on the Bee people are more willing to tell my my idea suck, or think about how uncomfortable being naked in an outdoor October ceremony, or how they think that hats with pirranas on it would go better with my theme.
I also love brides. I just love how happy and wonderful everyone looks once they become a Bride. I love recaps and bridal shots and basically all wedding photos haha
