I was very afraid of envy since we chose a courthouse wedding, but (luckily) I haven’t been envious of anyone’s big ceremony. I knew that wasn’t what I (or my DH) wanted, but I was still concerned about the green monster. I’ve had some slight dress envy (that would have probably been the most exciting part for me), but nothing serious (and that pro wouldn’t have outweighed the cons for me). I’ve also felt some ring envy lately, and I think that’s mainly due to being ringless after losing mine. I’m going to stop stalking the ring board after we pick up my replacement (should be just a few more days!) to avoid future ring envy. I think it can hit anyone if you spend too much time looking.

I wouldn’t say envy really but just wishing we didn’t have such a tight budget

@Loribeth:  I don’t know that I’ve experienced envy, because I love my ring and dress and venue (no shoes yet), but I definitely appreciate when people post about what they’re wearing ect. I’ve thought “wow that looks perfect on her” many times, but I’ve never taken it to the point where I picture myself in their dress. And I love knowing I’ve inspired ring envy. It makes me super proud of my Fiance for picking out something so lovely :). So I try to let people know when I like something they have to spread the good vibes around.

I’m not married yet, but venue envy for sure! I’ve seen some REALLY beautiful venues posted that are in another country (and I would have 100% chosen if I was living closer to it.)

I’m also not sure if I should call this proposal envy, because at the end of the day I’m just happy to be engaged… but there are some pretty amazing proposals on here! (Yes, I’m talking about you, WB member who got ‘Will the puppy.’ Puppy envy certainly happened on my end!!)

@the_future_mrs:  You’re so right about the proposal envy. I forgot about that one. I get it sometimes too. I try to stay away from the proposal board because they’re all so sweet and disgustingly heartwarming (just joking, of course).

Occasionally, I have passing ring/venue/dress envy. However, when I step back and look at the situation, I always quickly realize that other people’s things just don’t reflect “me” the way the ones I chose for myself do. A lot of ladies here do have darn good taste, though, and it’s fun to see all the different choices & live vicariously through other people so we can “experience” all the different weddings, rings & fashion 🙂

I think I have slight “engagement photo” envy!  Ours were lovely, but there are just so many cuter-looking ones here on the bee.

I have checklist envy. When I check in with the other brides getting married in my month and see I don’t have as much done as they do, I get a little sweaty.

I’m not really interested in a big ceremony, etc, so I mostly don’t have that kind of envy. I sometimes have a little bit of budget envy – even if we had a ton of money, we wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money on a wedding, but obviously a little extra money would be nice because then we could cover more expenses for guests we’d like to come who probably can’t, etc.

I also totally have photo envy! I’ve seen so many cute engagement photos and wedding photos… We’re totally not photogenic :p

I envy everyone who is still getting married when they planned to and didn’t have to post-pone 🙁

I have dress and venue envy.  I wish I had taken more time in picking out a dress (I picked it in an hour in the first place I looked).  I also wish I’d started looking for venues earlier instead of waiting until all of my first choices were booked.

I LOVE my E ring but I also love a million other styles so I have ring envy. Mostly in that I wish i could have every different ring out there! So many beautiful stones, styles, etc I love them all!

I envy the elopers. Exactly what I wanted for our wedding but DHs opinion won out. Oh and the occational fleeting ring envy for some of the colored stone bees rings on here, but thats about it I think.

Edit: Def proposal envy too! Dh did it with kids screaming in the backround on thanksgiving. Not ideal lol but we’re happily married now so that’s what counts.
