@ash31gifts:  Wow thanks- definitly good to know! I’m sorry you didn’t have the honeymoon you’d hoped for, but hopefully you make up for it in your future travels! Have you visited any other Caribbean islands?

@ash31gifts:  aw well thank you! Fiance and I haven’t been to the Caribbean at all…so it’s definitly overwhelming researching…we are looking for something with some nightlife and tons of activities (fishing is a must for Fiance…some kayaking, snorkeling..etc). My cousins gf just came back from St. Maarten and loved it! How was your experience there?

@ash31gifts:  Ooh, I have a question!  Which of the places you’ve been to had the best off-shore snorkeling?  As in, let’s walk from the beach into the water and snorkel a bit as opposed to having to take a boat somewhere?

Also, which place had the clearest, most shallow water?

Thanks In Advance for helping me with my silly questions!  🙂

Darling Husband and I stayed at Couples San Souci for our Honeymoon last summer….but we were wanting to go to St. Lucia next summer and probably planned on staying at a Sandals….looks like we may need to look at other options! I was worried that Sandals was kind of the ‘big box store’ of resorts.

@ash31gifts:  Do you typically go with the all-inclusive route? I’ve never done this (nor has FI) and we’re just a bit apprehensive to do so for our honeymoon, just because we never have before. Can you comment on all-inclusive vs. traditional hotel? Thanks for sharing your experiences with us!

Thanks for the review, I know many people assume Sandals is as good as it gets!

@ash31gifts:  We talked to several travel agents and the general consensus was that Sandals is overpriced.  We opted for Secrets instead.  Ever been to one of their resorts?  Would love to hear your review if you have!

@ash31gifts:  yeah, i’ve heard that sandals is not good value for money.  there’s so much more out there.  we always get great deals on our vacays too.

@MrsElle:  as for the all-inclusives, i’ve been to numerous resorts like this and it’s the way to go.  you can eat and drink till your heart’s content.  it’s nice to know that you won’t need a ton of spending money either; only if you want to go on excursions or buy souvenirs.  you can just go up to any bar on the resort and order a drink and not worry about having money on you.

I am at Couples Negril right now and will be giving a full photo heavy review in a few days. I just wanted to say that this is one of the best wedding related decisions we have made. The trip has been fabulous! They have free wi fi in the room so its been great to catch up on emails, etc.

I will just say this for now. the food is fabulous, so much so that I am positive that I have gained at least 5 lbs lol the drinks are as strong as you want them to be and the staff is great. We have two days left but are looking forward to coming back!
