I love to dance…and I can guarantee once I get out on the floor I will be out there the entire reception. I plan to either rinse off in the shower (but try to preserve my makeup and hair) or take a hottub with the *husband*. I still would like to keep my hair and makeup nice (unless I’m just icky, then I’ll take a full-on shower), but I know I’ll be no spring fresh lovely lady by 1am, so I’ll for sure be showering off and getting freshened up.

We have been talking about it lately and I plan to take a bath or us both to take one together to relax. It will be our first time so we need to be relaxed. I also plan to keep make up on and leave my hair the way it is.

I am totally freshening up, and putting something “fun” on… (wink, wink-nudge, nudge)

Possible Too Much Information coming up…

My husband talked about how he wanted to just take off the wedding dress and go at it for MONTHS prior to the wedding.  I kind of had a feeling that it might not be the greatest scene, but went for it anyway.  It was literally 100 degrees on our wedding day, and we danced right till the last dance, but I wasn’t going to be the one to “take away his dreams” haha.  I figured if he changed his mind at the last minute and would rather I washed up first, we’d play it by ear.

Did not shower! It was 95 degrees on our wedding day and we had an hour and a half boatride from our reception to the hotel. When we got to the hotel we ordered room service, drank champagne, talked about our wedding. Then once we were done eating we changed out of our wedding clothes and had sex then went to sleep!

We got back to the hotel room and I got out of my dress and just wiped down with a wet washcloth.  I didn’t want to take a full on shower (and ruin all hair and makeup) but the wet washcloth helped to freshen everything up.

Then I put on something fun and we got our night started!

We’re hosting an afterparty at our apartment since we have an afternoon wedding with no alcohol, so we’re going to have to push back the whole ‘wedding night’ experience :(. I’ll probably shower before we go out to dinner and put on a lighter dress. I’m hoping to keep the makeup and hair, though.

I had big plans to shower and put on some of the things I received for my bachelorrette party and that didn’t work. Aside from the all night dancing and warm weather we did it in my huge ballgown, I used the lingerie on our honeymoon. It was perfect.

My husband and I both took showers first.  We had been dancing all night and we were both sweaty.

Of course, we had been living together for almost two years before the wedding so it’s not like wwe were doing anything we hadn’t done before!

He helped me out of my dress, I showered but didn’t wash my hair and put on some lingerie and fresh makeup. I think he showered. can’t remember.

I hadn’t thought about it… but I imagine we’ll just “jump right in”. I’d probably shower after that and have a second helping.
