- Wedding: May 2011
Hi Fellow Bees, I’ve procrastinated on writting this post because I’ve been beating myself up over this for a few years, I need to get this off my chest but I don’t know how to fix it.
We are coming up on our 3 year wedding anniversary and I still haven’t put together our albums. I asked one of our friends to be the photographer for our wedding. I advised him to go with all of the normal popular shots, us getting ready, wedding, receptition etc.. but, didn’t spell out the specific shots we wanted.
Well…long story short- the girls and I were almost an hour late to my wedding which caused major chaos in the time department and then it rained immediatly following the ceramony.
So now we have 0 photos of family with the bride and groom, and with the family members who were there(some of who have already passed) and we are missing photos of the guests in action at the wedding and reception, and our harpist.
It sounds like it’s not terrible but, the photos I have to work with are 1 direct pose of the two of us, all of the ceramony photos are the 2 of us and the officant, 6 photos of the wedding party posed before the rain started, sporatic photos of the reception and then tons of photos of our friends at the very end of the night.
I’m really torn, and not sure what to do or what I can do. Here’s some ideas I’ve come up with and need advice because I don’t know where to start to make this album but, this is why i’ve been putting this off for so long.
1. contact everyone who came to the wedding and ask them to send me a photo of thierselves they’d like to include in my album???
2. have a party and re-do some group shots (but what if I can’t get everyone to come the same day or someone else dies)
3. cut my losses, and make an album with 0 family members and only wedding party and friend pics.
