I’m buying Christmas gifts for everyone and found some mixed advice about nail polish for kids. Im shopping for my cousin who is 9 and in 4th grade.
I have minty green, buttery yellow, light blue and a muted red nail polishes picked out. They are all kind of pasteley but still trendy. I was going to pair this with a set of needle points you can use to make dots and designs.
I remember painting my nails as a 4th grader, but my mom said “make sure they are age appropriate”.. Just curious if this gift would be appropriate and something a typical 4th grade girl would enjoy. I see ther side maybe once every few years so I don’t have super good idea on a gift she would like.

I was all over the funky colors when I was that age. Now I think they are even more mainstream, so I think you’re fine!

I see any colour as being fine at any age. Some people think that light pinks, clears, and nudes are best for that age though. What do your cousin’s parents think when it comes to nail polishes? I just got my lil sis who’s in 4th grade pastel blue nail polish and she loved it :). I got her nail polish remover too.

My neice is 9, and we tend to get her bright trendy colours (blue, green, lots of glitter) or we get her very soft and girly (light pink).
I think you’re good on those type of colours – just nothing too sex pot (bright red, hot pink etc.)

@Captain013: I remember I got in trouble for painting my nails fire engine red, my mum said that was an “adult” colour. Other than that, I think you are all good 🙂

Lolol there is no such thing as age appropriate nail colors! I’m *coughhack* years old and I’ll totally wear any color I want, it’s all about the fun. Those colors seem fine

I decided to get some bright colored belts, a patternd pair of pants and some darker nail polishes. I decided to get just two mini nail polishes to patch the outfit. Thanks for the help everyone.
