I’m sure it’s been done before, but I am curious! My Fiance and I are 4 years apart, me 22 him 26. He doesn’t act his age at all, or look it. I love that he is older than me! What about you bees? Do you think theres any such thing as too big of a difference?

I know a lot of people disagree but I don’t think age matters. I think it’s all about maturity. My husband and I are 18 years apart and are the perfect match for each other. He acts my age and I his so it all works out.

1 year, 9 months, and like 2 weeks. I was due exactly 9 months after his first birthday.
I don’t think there’s such a thing as too big an age gap when two people love each other, but some age gaps are a little… weird. My friend’s mom, for example, has stepkids older than she is because she married a guy 20 something years older than her. They have 4 kids together and they’re really happy. It’s just… strange.

1 year and 1 day! I was born Sept. 6 and he was born Sept. 7 one year apart (I’m older)! We usually celebrate our birthdays together for this reason. . . this past year we went to Disney World for our birthdays!

@mepayne: Haha could you imagine your 20 something stepson calling you mom and you’re only 25. Ah I’d probably tell him it’s ok not to call me Mom.

Almost 7 years apart. When we met I was 20 and he was 27. Now I’m 27 and he’s 34. He jokes every once in awhile about needing a younger model. Jerk ๐
My grandparents were 16 years apart and my grandfather had kids from a previous marriage that are old enough to be my mom’s parents (if that makes sense).

@Girasole: Yeah, and can you imagine introducing your friends to this girl who’s about your age, and saying, “Yes, this is my stepmom.”
The same friend also knows a lady who married her best friend’s son. She changed his diapers when he was a baby. It wasn’t like she met the friend in her 40s and the son in his 20s or something.

@JoolyBee: i met my fiance when I was 15 he was 19. He was still in highschool and he didn’t look that old. I was shocked when I found out how old he was, felt like i hit the jackpot! ๐ and yeah it’s so great we have the same maturity too lol if he acted his age then we probably wouldn’t get along now

I am 22 and he is 30. He definitely acts his age in a good way, and I’m more mature than a lot of other people my age. I’ve graduated from college, have lived away from home with my fiance since graduation and am completely financially independent. We work perfectly together, and since I’m very traditional within the context of our relationship, I like the age difference. it’s also not something I think about all the time though, either ๐
