I’m 26 and Fiance is 43 so that’s 17 years. We never feel it at all. We also can’t wait to TTC right after the wedding.

6 years and I’m older than him.  Luckily I don’t look my age and he’s terrible with people’s ages.  My sister is 9.5 years older than her husband.  Must run in the family?  🙂

He is 8 years older. I’m 20, and he is 28. It works! No one can ever guess my age and they think I am older, and he is a little kid at heart, so we even out. I’ve always been more attracted to older guys.

I do think there is a age limit. Though where the exact line is drawn – I don’t know. I don’t cringe at a 12 year age difference, but I do at an 18 year age difference. So somewhere in there I guess.

I say this as a child of parents who are 18 years apart. No child should have to go through having a parent so significantly older. I worried my father wouldn’t live to see me graduate from high school. Then I worried he wouldn’t live to walk me down the aisle. Now I worry he won’t live to meet my future children.

And I worry about my mother. What is she to do for the next 20 years without him? That thought has been creeping into her mind as well these past few years.

So that is something to consider with large age differences.

He’s 5 years older, but my parents are 8 years apart, I once dated a guy 11 years older than me, and my aunt just married a guy 13 years younger than her!

I don’t think age matters as long as you have things in common and there’s no significant “generation gap”, but I still find my aunt’s marriage a little odd since guys mature way slower than girls do.

@Girasole:  We met aged 11 at secondary school =) didn’t know each other before then but our grandparents were also church friends  when we were toddlers too; my nan remembers MrWigeon in his pushchair! Had he been born 15 mins later we would have shared a birthday. At least he can never forget it 😛

i was 15 and he was 19 when we met , andhe doesnt look like his age or act like it , but me i have always act older but i look younger , haha i remember that he was scared to go to jail because i was under 18 ,  he is almost 24 and he look like he is 20.     i have  always like older guys i have never date guys younger or the same age as me . i dont think age matter when you are in your earlie 20s , is different to be 25 and date a 35 guy , but if you are 14 and you are dating a 24 guy that is just too wierd for and not right , my auntie have been married for 23 years with a man 13 years younger than her and they still in lovw

3 years and 10 months–I’m turning 30 on Sunday and he’s turning 34 in April!  But now that I’ll be 30 myself, I can’t tease him as much about being old. 😀

My Boyfriend or Best Friend is 13 years older than me, I’m late 20s. Neither of us even notice it.

Less than a year.

And yes I think there’s such thing as too big of an age gap, especially if experience is wildly different.  My dad and his ex wife were 14 years apart.  She was 28 when they married and with him at least 5 years before that… of course when she left him she made sure to let us all know she was “too young” when they got married.  I could have told her that (I was 19 when they did).  And our age difference was smaller than her and my dad’s.
