Me and my Fiance are 5 years apart. I’ve never even thought about it because it isn’t that big a gap.

laurenwilliam:

At your ages I find it  hard to believe  people  even notice  , let alone alone  comment. How very odd of them .

I’m 11 years older than my husband but I’m 52 and he’s 41.  I was done with having kids and he never wanted any – both second time marriages for us.  At the stage in our lives we don’t think about numbers.

When I’m in love with someone, I can’t help being proud of them. And I couldn’t be bothered with worrying. Are you sure you are ready to get married and that you love him and are in love with him. If not it’s ok to postpone or break off.

laurenwilliam:  I think your best bet is to acknowledge it in a light hearted/no big deal type of way, and after a while pay it no mind. My dh is 13 Years my senior so you can imagine all of the questions/critisiscm we’ve gotten (and still probably get behind our backs). All you can really do is love each other and not focus so much on other people and their opinions.

My SO is 18 years older than I am, most people leave us alone about it. 6 years really isn’t a long time so don’t worry w other people say. As long as you’re happy
