Well, even though that’s not yet “fever” criteria, you might have a lower temp tomorrow and you can always re-set the O date on there once you figure it out a little more.  Did you drink any alcohol or have a restless few nights?  I know that always made my temp higher–especially drinking the night before!

Do you usually get fertile cervical fluid?  If so, I think once you add that in at a later date, it should fix itself.  You can always omit a few high temperatures too if they seem off.  I always remember the book TCOYF said the most important thing is to see the “forest through the trees” with temperatures–you can’t concentrate on a few temperatures and get hung up on them, you just have to wait and analyze all of them as a whole.  Which is why I totally added OPKs onto my second month of charting.  Temps are great for looking BACK on what happened with your cycle, but they are definitely not a good predictor of things to come (most of the time).

So sorry!  Hope you get a lower temp tomorrow!  If you aren’t already, I would highly recommend doing OPKs this cycle, too.  If you haven’t passed when you think you normally O, then it shouldn’t be too late to start them! Good luck!

@MrsHoneyC:  I’ve had a couple strange high temps in the middle of my cycle, too, and the next day my temp was down again – have no idea why!  I ended up deleting the wacko temps and my chart ended up looking normal.  I hope that’s all it is!

I use OPKs and find it very helpful – be sure to test at least twice a day though – last month I got a negative in the early morning, had the urge to test again in the afternoon and it was positive, then negative again that night – no wonder some people never get a positive! Sometimes it’s only there a few hours!

Did you wake up later than usual this morning or drink last night? My temps are always higher on the weekends because I usually get up late and even higher if I drank the night before so I always adjust weekend temps down to account for that, or just ignore them when looking at my patterns. If you tell FF to ignore today’s temp, I’m sure it’ll take away the crosshairs.

@MrsHoneyC:  Keep BDing every day or every other day.  I am betting that tomorrow’s temp will drop back down and it will negate the O date it shows currently.  CD 7 and 8 and probably somewhat low for you and the software took the next three temps as high temps when they are actually in line with your temps prior to CD 7.

Chart CM as another poster suggested because it helps the software toss out these false O dates better.  Also, since it’s your first cycle, the software hasn’t “learned” what to expect for your cycle yet.  After 3-4 cycles it will hold off on giving an O date until your average O date passes.

@MrsHoneyC:  The Wondfo strips from amazon are cheap enough you can use multiple in a day without guilt (something like $15 for 50 I think) and they’ve worked for me.  I’m sure there are more sophisticated ones out there for more cashola.
