You know, most people in this team will ask around if they need to go early one day. Only one person can go, so most of the time it means discussion and deciding whose reason is best/most important – and I like it like that.
But no, obviously the rules don’t matter to you. You just come in earlier than anyone and put yourself down to go early just because ‘I always have Mondays off early’. There’s no reason behind it, you just like doing it!
Oh, but that’s okay. Since my reason’s quite good (I need to get to the shops before they close, and before tomorrow otherwise I need to pay twice the amount to replace a kitchen appliance, plus I need to contact the estate agents about our house) I thought it might go down well and you’d swap. Nope. You point blank refuse. You tell me I have to stay here all day, and dismiss my reasons like you think they’re fake. All because you want to go early – you even admit you’ve got nothing going on, you just want top go home!
But no, that’s okay. I’ll just do everything tomorrow, when I can get away, and then charge you the extra amount of cash I’m being forced to pay because you didn’t think about others before making your decisions!!
Ugh. Rant over.
(This may seem like something small and silly, but this co-worker does this ALL the time and stubbornly refuses to consider other people in everything she does. I suppose I’ve hit a wall with my patience. I’ll stop now.
