wedbee0904 :  Breathe! Maybe it would help to close your eyes and visualize your day – how pretty you’ll be in your wedding-day look, how nicely your wedding party will clean up, how incredibly handsome your FH will look spiffed up. Then envision your ceremony and how great it will be to see your guests and how happy they will be to see you happy. Then picture your reception, mentally taste your food, hear the music in your minds ear. If you can “see” this joyful day, you can calm down that all the details don’t matter, but the lovefest does.

wedbee0904 :  I also am having an October 1 wedding and haven’t freaked out over anything until this week. I have done a complete DIY wedding and now am second guessing all my choices. Just breath, relax and let the day happen.

I too am an Oct 1 bride and just like you and desperatbridetobee, just this week its really getting to me. Like last weekend we finalized our cake and a bride at the bakery who was waiting with us asked when our wedding was and I was like “oh in 3 weeks.” Her wedding was the next sat and i was like OMG thats so soon! And here we are just 2.5 weeks away!

Maybe its the last minute details that arent very fun or exciting:

-carving 20 faux pumpkins to drop off at our florist for the centerpieces

-wrapping the rehearsal bridal party gifts

-reporting in final counts for meals for wedding and rehearsal

and so on…

Also I feel like Im just trying to make it thru the next 12 days at work before im on PTO.

its just a lot of stress!

oh and im apparently addicted to weddingbees as I read the posts almost every night now and then I also second guess my choices.

Such as being announced and having the grand march. And we invested a ton of time and money into learning our first dance and now Im so worried it will just look silly.

And then I worry about what the weather will be like on the big day (im in WI.)

anyway sorry for the long response but I feel like “I Found My People!”  lol
