Okay so me and Fi live together right now, we live in a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen dinning room connected to the living room a master bath with just a shower, and another full bath with a bathtub in the hall way with a coat closet. It’s nice and I like it here, but we pay $600 a month for it, and we don’t get all utilities included either. I think we get like sewer and water, or something like that. Well FI’s boss owns a home in the middle of town that is 3 bedrooms and has a finished basement except the floor is cement (but I will just throw a rug down there if need be.) and a updated kitchen and bathrooms and a dining room not connected to the living room and a living room and a master bathroom with a tub. =] and a another full bahtroom with a tub in the main living area and a half bathroom downstairs in the basement, and he told Fiance and me he will let us have it for $450 a month. I was like “WHAT!? Let’s go right now!” haha. Fiance told me that he will pay for sewer and water, and will fill up the oil for heating the first time, but Fiance has never seen this place and wants to check it out. I am so hoping this will be a good match, and it even has a little deck with some grass area, for entertaining, ahh it would so great! So Fiance is going to ask his boss if we can go check it out tonight when he gets home from work. So bees please pray for me that we get this, cause it would just be so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! and did I mention the master bedroom has a walk in closet! Can we say score!
okay I’m done freaking out….maybe, haha. =]

Wow! Rent is cheap over there! We pay $1027 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, large patio, apartment! And have to pay all utilities! You have a good deal! Good luck!

Sounds like a sweet deal, I hope it works out! I’d kill for that much space for $450. Here in NYC, $450 wouldn’t be my rent if I lived in the projects… a one bedroom… where the odds of being shot are like 5:1.

Yea it’s pretty cheap. I mean Lebanon, PA is not a very popular area, not a lot to do around here, so it’s not that expensive to live here, but I don’t mind going to Philly (2 hr. drive) or to harrisburg, or hershey or reading (20-30 min. drive) It’s not too exciting but I like it. It’s got it’s own little charm about it. =]

Wow all for $450 a month?! I live in Oklahoma, where the cost of living tends to be lower than most other places, but you could BARELY get a one-bedroom apartment here for $500!
I hope it works out for you, it’s in a good part of town and it’s well-kept. I’m one of those people with an “Ok, something HAS to be wrong with it” type of mindset, but I hope for your sake it’s the real deal!

Well the apartment is really worth $800 a month but he is willing to let me and Fiance have it for that much because Tim and him know eachother really well. Fiance has been working for him since he was 16, so that’s like 8 years. His boss told him that he rather rent it for less to someone he knows then to charge more for it for someone he doesn’t know to live in it. He doesn’t think Tim will wreck and throw wild parties and stuff in it, and we won’t. It’s in an alright part of town. It’s not any different than where we are now, so… but yea I’m going to make sure to look at it closely, and to ask him lots of questions, and to make sure to read the lease agreement. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see today, because his boss had plans for this evening, but hopefully soon. =]
The only thing I am not looking forward too is that they are going to build a bridge like 6 blocks away from the house, and are going to be knocking down some other older houses, so they can build this bridge, so I’m going to hear construction for a while if we do live there, but oh well, it won’t be like that forever.
