I’ve narrowed down my dress selection to 3 options. They are all really different, which I think is why I’m struggling so much!
1. Is the one I thought for sure was it. I was really excited wearing it in the store, but paniked when it came to the decision. It’s a ball gown, but really light and airy. It feels surprising casual and comfortable and romantic.
2. Is what I thought I wanted from the beginning, before trying anything on. It’s beautiful, but I’m worried about how comfortable it will be compared to the other two and how formal it is.
3. This one is the style my mom preferred. I think because of how my figure looked in it (I’m fairly hourglass and the corset and close fitting shape showed it off).
Our wedding is a really casual and only immediate family on the day of, but we’re throwing a big party later in the summer. So essentially I’ll be wearing it twice, but both events are pretty laid back.
I appreciate your feedback! I’m feeling so overwhelmed!

It would be hard to vote without seeing them on YOU. Do you have any pics trying them on?

I agree. Theyre all lovely, but that doesn’t matter if we dont know what they look like on you. Post pics, I would love to weigh in!

My vote is for the 1st dress! But it also depends on what works best with your figure! I have a bit of an hourglass figure too and I found the ballgowns with a natural waist just didn’t look right on me, I had to have a bit more of a dropped-waist to make me look smaller.

Here are pictures of me in the first two dresses. I, unfortunately, don’t have one of me in the last one, sorry! I didn’t post them initially because they’re not great quality, espeically the first one. It actually looks much more flattering in person (the sample was huge on me).
Thanks for your help!

From the pics you posted of you in the two dress, the second one would be my pick. It flatters your figure so well and you look gorgeous in it! Even just looking at the pics from the designer websites, the second one was my fave anyways! 🙂 But it is more about what you feel more comfortable in and what you feel flatters you the most. Any of the dresses look like they would fit the atmosphere too, even if it is a casual wedding and party, you will be the spotlight of the event and should shine! Good luck picking!

Tara Keely 2200! It’s feminine and fun. I’ve tried it on and the tulle was fairly light.

I vote for the first one, just because you seemed much more excited about it that you did about the others in your initial description

Ok, so I spoke with my partner and he said he absolutely HATED the Tara Keely! I really think that it’s the picture of the first dress that is the problem. It make me look short and is really unflattering. I’ve made an appointment to re-try both Wtoo dresses to try to narrow it down. Sorry to those who voted for the Tara keely, I can’t very well choose it if he hates it! 🙂
Thank you for your help!
I’ll re-post pics after my next appointment, hopefully they’re better!
@kelsie5388: after re-reading my original post I agree with you! I think I’m much more excited about the Wtoo ball gown. The Wtoo gown was much more comfortable!

MissGemini: I think that’s the route I’m going to go as well. The higher waist isn’t as flattering as when the skirt starts a bit lower. I’m going this weekend to try more dresses and will be hunting for some with a dropped waist.

I have to agree with your Fiance. You look amazing in the first one though.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!
I found my dress!
It’s La Sposa Sena, but I’m altering the dress completely. It’s a mermaid with a modified sweetheart neckline that I am turning into a dropped waist a-line with a deep sweetheart, so I’m lucky I managed to find it off the rack at a great price. Right now all I have are pictures of the dress in its original state, but will share a before-and-after once it’s all done. The lace on the La Sposa dresses is incredible!
