Anyone else dealing with exhaustion AND insomnia? I’m more tired than I’ve ever been in my life, but I can’t get a full night’s sleep if my life depended on it. It’s a vicious cycle. (6 weeks tomorrow, for what it’s worth.)

Mrs. Filly:  I had that until week 10…I was SO tired yet every night I couldn’t fall alseep and would wake up multiple times every night due to nausea and be unable to fall back asleep. It was miserable! Then I started taking half of a Unisom tablet each night and it works like a charm! I rarely have trouble falling asleep now and if I wake up I can usually go back to sleep pretty easily. Unisom is meant as a sleep aid but it also helps morning sickness, how awesome is that?!

I was working and in school when I found out that I was pregnant. It was pretty brutal. I was pretty much sleeping a full night sleep (9hours) and then needing a 2-3 hour nap on top of that almost everyday. And I STILL was tired all the time. Writing all my final papers for that semester was one of the most gruelling things I’ve ever done and the work load seemed absolutely insurmountable. Fortunately, the fatigue tapered off around 12 weeks, and I felt much better for the rest of my pregnancy.

sara.anna:  I am living that now. Working full-time, taking two graduate courses, and I have a toddler at home. Throw on some fatigue and all-day queasiness and I am blowing past deadlines for my papers this week. I just can’t deal. On that note, I’m heading to bed hoping tomorrow night will be magically better.

steen425:  Is that what it is? The weather, why have I not seen that. I am constantly fantasizing a lovely nap, and I generally hate naps.

Oh man I’m 14w5d and still feeling preeeetty tired a lot despite being in the 2nd tri! I will admit I’m not nearly as bone crushingly exhausted as I was first tri, but still pretty tired. It comes and goes though so I’m hoping the trend continues and I start to get more and more energy 🙂
