OMG I hate my dress so much. the more I think about it the more I hate it!! I have it listed in five diffrent places and nobody has bought it yet. If it doesn’t sell I am going to have to wear it. BLAHH what a bad decision on my part to get it!

@app523: Now you should know that you can’t post a statement like that without posting a photo so that we can ooh and ahh!!

Since I think you want us to hate it, I’ll bite.
It isn’t that flattering on you, the tiers are weird and there is way too much going on. How much did you pay for it? Do you have the option of getting something else, even if your first dress doesn’t sell? Maybe a pre-owned dress? You are the sort of size and figure that you would have a lot of pre-owned options.

Ok, I can definitely see the cake aspect. Now, let’s say you can’t get it sold – can you alter it so that it’s less…poofy? Just removing the flower would make a big difference and then you can perhaps do something about the layer effect as well.

I actually really like the dress on you, but all the best of luck to you in selling the dress so you can get one you actually love!

You have a very flattering figure, and I’ll be honest that this dress isn’t my favotire.
Take it from me… It took 3 dresses before I LOVED the one I have so I understand what you’re going through! The first time you’re overwhelmed and depending which store you went to maybe they pressured you into something you weren’t really feeling.
I’d ask the store if they accept exchanges or if there’s ANYTHING they can do for you. Play the sympathy card.
I do wish you the best of luck.

The seamstress said no returns, but I think I am going to go back and talk to the owner. The seamstress said I can’t exchange i because it is a size eight and a sample size is a 10 or 12.

I like the top of the dress but not the layers/gathered bits. How long do you have until your wedding? A good seamstress could probably completely change the bottom half into full tulle layers. Do you have an idea of what type of dress you want now?

Best of luck to you. Hope you’re able to return it or exchange it.

The salon where I got my dress said “NO RETURNS” and only store credit given 7 days after purchase, but I went in hysterical and the owner said I could swap it out with one I wanted, if that makes you feel any better!

It has a built in petticoat, so the seamstress said she could take it out. and the layers I don’t know about.. but if I am going to do all of that I might as well buy a new one. This dress cost $1,700!!! I live on Cape Cod in MA and everything is expensive here. Any one else live around here or know a place, other than online, that I can sell this bad boy?
