Its ok! I was sooooo nervous signing my venue contract too! And then a little nervous again when I signed my other *big* contracts!!!!

Just remember that this is the first big step in your special day! Let us know how it goes! And just think how relieved you will be once its done & you can REALLY start planning (knowing that you DEFINITELY have that caterer!!)!!!!!

Oh my gosh, what a nightmare.  That really sucks that this guy was being so underhanded about it all.  I work for a catering company and there’s no reason this guy should be "forgetting" proposal B, if that’s what he’s trying to do.  Just stick to your guns and don’t be signing anything til the number is where you want it to be.

Wow!  That’s pretty bad … you might want to spread the word about their slippery ways with numbers…. after the wedding, of course.

Those nerves will be there with all of your vendors and contracts….at least it was for me! I guess making it so "final" is just nerve-racking.

Hi luckyinluv,

I felt your pain!  Still have not placed a deposit myself because it is for 50% of the proposal and the number of guests keep shrinking.  However, I think it is great that they are trying to personalize your menu, line by line.  This way, you have the menu that you want.  It does not seem like someone will suddenly "take the date" since they are working with you, you shouldn’t worry.

 Good luck!

I was pretty nervous when we were signing our contract. We did everything remotely and then faxed in the contract & wired over the deposit, so it was a bit stressful for me as I wasn’t really sure what I got myself into. LOL. I mean we did all the research and read all the reviews, but I was still a tiny bit worried. SO I think it’s normal.

I hope your contract situation is solved right now. Sorry you had to go through this additional stress but good thing your Fiance has good negotiation skills!
