Hello Bees! I bought a variety of sex toys as a fun gift for my Fiance on our honeymoon. Only one toy has batteries, which have been removed and separated from the toy. The rest do not have anything that need batteries or to be plugged in. Is there anything I need to be worried about? I’m putting everything in my checked baggage, any issues any bees can think of? It seemed like a good idea at the time – now I’m not sure!

Just keep all your batteries in a single baggie and you’ll be fine.

Sometimes they ask you to separate electronics for easier inspection. May be a little embarrassing taking it out and having everyone see but who cares you’re on your honeymoon lol

Check the bag and there will be no issue at all. They examine the checked luggage when it is out of your sight anyway, so even if they need to open the bag to double check it, it won’t be in front of you or anyone else in public. At check-in they just weigh and tag your bags and then put them on a conveyor belt to be scanned somewhere else. It is always best to keep batteries out of items, even in checked bags, but airports see this all the time. It really is no big deal, nor will you be embarrassed at the airport.

You’ll be fine. I’m s flight attendant and brought my BOB (battery operated boyfriend) on many of trips. I’m assuming there’s no lithium batteries going on.
on a funny note I brought a giant purple dildo (bad break up) on an internationa trip and got randomly searched. The look on the inspectors face was priceless. I don’t know what he said. It was in spanish but he was red in color 😜

When my husband and I got married we were in a larger town that had a large airport so we stayed there the extra night in a hotel (we got married on a Saturday flew out on Monday. We decided to dtd at the hotel on Sunday. I KNOW I told my husband to put the lube back in the checked bag since it was over the ounce allowance. Well of course he didn’t, got stopped bc of it. The tsa lady went through his bag to find it, did, saw what it was get a horrified look on her face and dropped it like it was burning her right back into his bag. I will forever remember the look on her face. Also how we got around (unintentionally) the liquid ban.
