I had an airbrush trial because I was worried about the same exact thing! With my experience, it felt funny going on, but once it had dried it was not cakey at all… nor could I feel it on my face. Maybe you can ask your artist to swith the colors? Or maybe go a bit lighter on the airbrushing?

No not at all. In fact, I’m a very freckly person and I didn’t want to hide them completely on my big day. The makeup artist showed me how that was possible. I also cannot stand foundation and it was nothing like that on my face. It was more a way of “locking down” the other make up she had applied.
