I have had airbrush tans before.  I think I payed around $25-$35 for a full body spray… that could have been with a discount – i can’t remember.

Anyway, It gave me wonderful color (i am fair skinned) it didn’t look fake at all.  However there are some down sides to airbrush spray tanning..

1. I smells!  Even with all the new products out today that claim that the smell is "good" I still think it smells bad.

2. If you have Blemishes on your body or have large pores it can sink into those areas and may look darker.  I have large pores on my legs and I had a few tiny blemishes on my chest and the tanner did sink into those areas and because of that those areas looked a bit darker.

I took a shower the next day in which most of the surface color came off – leaving me with a nice even tan that had seeped into my skin.  The darker spots did even up with the rest of my skin after the shower.

3.  The tan can rub off on your clothes the first day or two of having it done.  If you shower the following day after the tan, you should get all the excess stuff off.  For a wedding day I would have it done 2 days before the wedding to insure that nothing rubs off on your gown.

Typically it wont rub off all over (the same day it was sprayed) just in the areas that rub on your body like a bra strap or under ware.  Sandals that rub on your foot might get some on them as well.

i tried it and got lots of wonderful compliments but i agree with the above poster – there are some yucky things about it – smell, discoloring in some places, rubs off on clothes a little… and i did have a tiny skin reaction on my neck which the girl warned me may happen – becuase i have sensitive skin… so you may just want to test it a month or so out so you have time to recoop in case anything do happen… all in all it is nice to have that glow – you may want to try something from the store too tho like nutra or something like that too…
