I wouldn’t worry. I flew at 15 weeks pregnant and my OB told me the airport scan was safe.

happy2bee:  I wouldn’t be concerned, but if you are you can opt for a pat down.

happy2bee:  No, I never worried about it. I went through the scanner at >4 weeks (before I knew), 8 weeks, 22 weeks, 27 weeks, and 29 weeks.

You will be okay. Think that plenty of women have traveled throughout pregnancy and havn’t had problems. They would most likely talk about it if it were to be an issue.

I traveled about every other week in my pregnancy through week 32. I always went through the scan, I was told it was safe.

For example, If you go through Grand Central Station and wait an hour, you’ll get six times more radiation than a standard airport scanner.

You’re fine.

happy2bee:  you don’t need to be concerned but I personally wasn’t comfortable with it. So I asked for a pat down. No biggie.

Hyperventilate:  Whoa! I go through Grand Central all the time so I just googled “Grand Central radiation” and – wow! That’s wild. I guess the dose makes the poison, right?

I flew when I was 8 weeks pregnant and saw my OB a couple days before, he said those scanners are not an issue.
