Ok. it’s 2 1/2 months from my wedding and I’m starting to stress about everything now. I have no idea what I’m going to do with the aisle of our church. I don’t want a runner just decorations on the ends of the pews. My mother keeps TELLING me she’s going to make bows with tool.. is it just me or is that super outdated? Maybe not, maybe it’s just not my style. I would REALLY rather flowers but my mom says she doesnt want to spent that much money on flowers. Grr. But hey, it’s her money.
Do any of you married bees have pictures of your aisle or anyone have inspiration to give me? I’ll even consider DIY!

As far as aisle decorations, I seriously considered an updated version of this (though I would use fake flowers for something so DIY)
However, I ended up scoring 216 votives holders for $40, so I’m spray painting them with frost paint and using LED candles – and using them to line the aisle.
You could also make pomanders, or hang lanterns off the pews.

@afbacher: Thanks! I like the pomander idea. Seems like it wouldnt take TOOO much work. I work, go to school, and have a 16 month old so i’m trying to find time for everything!
Anyone have any other ideas?

I’m not a fan of the big tulle bows either (but unfortunately that’s probably what I’ll end up with since I’ve turned over all ceremony decorations to my mom). But I think that using tulle or organza to drape the aisle with some simple floral accents looks pretty and really easy. It’s nothing really special, but it would be simple and probably cheap.

We are going to use pomanders. I have already made them. They were pretty easy to make. I was going to just have them hang on the chairs going down the aisle, but I have changed my mind, yet again. I am going to get some Victorian style vases and have the poms set on top of them going down the aisle. I just hope I don’t knock them over with my gown.
