Hey Bees. I’m looking for some feedback from newlyweds who have gotten wedding albums from Millers Lab, Blurb and/or Pictage. What is your opinion? What do you like/dislike? My biggest “must have” is thick pages — not just paper pages, but something more substantial/firm.
Millers Lab looks good but I’m not too impressed with what I’ve seen on the Blurb website but I think I’ve seen notes on these boards from Bees who liked Blurb.

Well Miller’s Lab and Pictage are both for professional photographers only so those probably aren’t an option for you. I don’t think I would trust my nice wedding album to Blurb – I’ve heard too many not so great things.
Personally, I’m looking at making my flushmount album with Somerset Albums. They look really nice (and have lay-flat, thick pages). Maybe that would be something for you to look at!

Thanks @FutureKMM! I will check out Somerset. Our album is included as part of our package with the photographer, so we can use Millers Lab or Pictage through him. He’s basically letting me choose which supplier to use but that is hard for me, seeing as how I have no experience with any of them!
I wasn’t super impressed with what I saw from Blurb’s website though, and hearing you say you’ve heard bad things pretty much reinforces my gut instinct. I definitely want the thick, lay-flat pages that you described.

I would check out AdoramaPix as well – I have heard it is great quality, and thick, flat laying pages.

I made an AdoramaPix photobook with my engagement photos for the guestbook at our wedding and I LOVED it! I posted about it (with pictures) here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/my-awesome-adoramapix-photobook-lots-of-pics They mimic the lay-flat thick pages of a flushmount album but are no where near as thick.
That said, their photobooks are NOTHING like a quality wedding album. They are simply a very high quality photobook. If photobook is what you’re going for, I highly recommend AdoramaPix and will use them in the future for things. But it sounds like the OP is looking for an actual flushmount album which AdoramaPix cannot provide.
