Generally people expect alcohol. If you can afford it, try to provide at least beer and wine.

we are doing beer and wine – we will host. if they want stiffer drinks they will have to pay.. thats how most of the grooms family does their events…

My hall don’t allow drinking(it’s in a church) but I would still perfer non alcohol I want  my guest to enjoy themselves without expecting/wanting to drink, celebrate our day with a clear and sober mind……But after the wedding “Cheers To The Freakin Weekend” lol

at least offer beer and wine.  if I was invited to a dry wedding, I would be sneaking in a flask. pretty much everybody I know would be too.

I would actually enjoy a wedding less that didn’t have alcohol available, and I don’t even drink that often.  See if you can provide beer and wine, like a PP suggested!

@Melp2017:  glad you’re deciding on wine and beer! i’d only go without alcohol if it is something very common and expected with your family/circle of friends. otherwise, people really will be expecting it on a weekend evening.
