We did the provide-your-alcohol option with our venue too, and it worked out great!  We have tons leftover, but we’ll just have parties with it 🙂

For wines, I did tons of research to find good options, and ended up deciding by having a cheap wine tasting night with my girlfriends on the night of my lovie’s bachelor party.  I HIGHLY recommend this approach (a genius suggestion from another bee)- it is tons of fun, and you get a variety of opinions from a group of ppl who will at the wedding.  I asked ppl to bring a bottle under $10 if they could, and bought 5 bottles myself.  It was a very laid back affair – I passed out blank sheets of paper, asked them to rate each wine on a scale from 1-10, and averaged the scores at the end of the night.  While tasting all the wines (13 total!), we watched the hilarious movie Bridesmaids, and when that was over, watched episodes of Bridezillas.  The next day my friend told me “I never realized how much better Bridezillas is to watch with a large group of women!”  Our color commentary was cracking us all up 🙂

Sorry for the giant tangent, but def do the tasting if you can 🙂  Our winners from the night were Alamos Malbec ($8.99 from Trader Joe’s, and tastes MUCH more expensive), and Twin Vines Vinho Verde, a white with a slight sparkle to it, and very easy to drink ($6.99 from a local store).  Feel free to PM me if you have any Q’s!
