We are serving 4 signature drinks in 2 gallon beverage dispensers for the cocktail hour that will last approximately 1 hour
We need to order alcohol this week and need to make a decision on how much. My question is how many times you think we will need to refill the beverage dispenser
Signature drinks are:
Sangria, a blueferry vodka infusion, creamsicles ( whipped vodka) and arnold palmers ( tea and lemonade)

@mobjune25: How many guests do you have? How many are alcohol drinkers? How big are your serving glasses?

How many people are you having?

younger crowd so pretty heavy drinkers–also beer and wine being served ( the whole night) about 150 people

serving glasses are 10 oz

Excuse my calculations
1gal = 128 oz(fl)
..therefore 2gal= 256 oz(fl)
glasses are 10 oz(fl)
…with the assumption of each person having 4 drinks in that hour (I would want to try each of them!) and 150 people…
150(ppl)X10(oz glasses)= 1500(oz of drinks for all the people per drink if everyone had one of one type!)
1500/256= aprox 6 (a little less, but safer to round up than down in this instance)
So assuming every drink will be in a 2 gal dispenser (4 dispensers total) and that you have heavy drinkers (heavy enough to fill each cup once with each of the 4 different drinks) I would say you will be safe filling each dispenser 6 times. Ofcourse, I do think 4 drinks per person is a lot for an hour and If I were going to try the different drinks I would prob not fill my whole cup.. so I would say.. if you don’t care to have excess.. 5 times is sufficient 🙂

My guess would be the sangria and arnold palmers get hit the most, creamsicles next then blueberry.
I would plan on 4 refills of the most, 3 of the creamsicle and 2 of the blueberry since it’s only for an hour and you have other options.
