I’m on Marvelon, and I did gain weight, especially in my boobs.  It cleared up my acne really well though which is a plus..  I am not that moody on it, maybe at the beginning when my body was adjusting to all these hormones.  However, I have to say that my sex drive decreased though.  One of the side effects is that I sun burn really easily.  It regulates my period great to the point where I usually know what day and time it might come and for how long.  No nausea, headaches, dizziness or anything like that.  I have been on it for around 9 years now.  Never bothered to switch it since it works.

I’m on Alesse and there haven’t been any real side effects. But I’ve never had issues with birth control.

I was on Alesse when I was 15, hated it. Nausea, vomitting, dizziness. I’m going to be starting on Marvelon in a few days, so hoping it’s better than anything else I’ve tried. (Yasmin made me so moody, Tricyclen-lo made my libido decrease a lot).

I was on Marvelon for quite a long time and liked it as a pill. Don’t notice any negative side effects really. Didn’t have problems with acne, weight gain, or moodiness. I have never taken Alesse. Would not recommend Yasmin or Seasonele (very expensive and I think I gained some weight from it).
