Are you thinking of shoes to match your belle dress, like white/cream?  Or are you thinking of going with a color?  You could do shoes in one of your wedding colors.  The sky is the limit!  You can totally find shoes less than 6 inches high (we don’t need you killing yourself in shoes that high for that many hours :D).

Sometimes on the boards, it would help if you can give other bees some parameters on your likes, and send us on the search for you! You know, like, how tall of shoe you usually wear, what color, open/close toe, etc.  I think anything would look gorgeous with the belle dress!

Dress Twin! I’m wearing Belle and I had the same issue with shoes. Well I also did not want a white or ivory shoe, to me boring! I wound up with the Badgley Mischka Lacie Pump in Dark Rose. I just loved the color so much and pretty much just fell in love with the shoe the minute I saw them. The heel is not very high. I didn’t want to be taller or even as tall as my groom. I can’t post a pic now but you can find them on amazon. My wedding colors will be pinks and corals with some gray/silvers. My girls are wearing coral and I just don’t care if we match. lol

i made my shoes for my Belle dress.

If you want to match the details on the bodice, you can get a pair of regular old heels and glitter them with gold or silver, maybe.

Edit: i just saw that you said you were looking for torquise shoes. DIY them. 🙂

I’m wearing silver glitter Toms! I wear an 11 wide and gave up the hunt for the perfect heels, and then I feel in love with the Toms!

Hey dress twins!  I have a quick question (not related to shoes).  I barely fit into the Size 10, so I want to go up to the 12, which is just a little loose.  Did anyone else have to up a little and get the top of the dress taken in?  I am concerned about it being able to be altered on top because of the beading details.  I have asked at the Alfred Angelo stores and the answers have been vague and unhelpful, so I thought dress twins might be able to help.

@subola:  I have an Alfred Angelo (404) that needs to be altered and it has loads of beading. It is too big in the top. The beading is on a net though and i assume they will take the whole thing off. They said it would be no problem to alter it though but would cost about $380. I bought a discontinued floor sample though so I will still come out ahead.

@nycsa:  Thanks!  I can get the gown discounted as well, so I wouldn’t be worried about cost of alterations.  However, I don’t know if the beading is on a net.  I think I will call Alfred Angelo and ask.

I am having the same problem.  I am actually considering a cute pair of dark purple flats (since our colors are dark purple and ivory).

So I was just wondering what you were doing as far as a slip goes if you have the belle 2012 dress (217)?  I tried on my dress at the alfred angelo store with whatever slip she gave me, but I bought my dress pre-owned online, so now I have no idea what go get for the slip (which I am also trying to find online).

@subola:  Oops. I forgot about the slip. Thanks for reminding me, I tried on the dress with the one they gave me. I need to get fitted next month anyway.
