I don’t have an Alfred Angelo signature store near me and the only boutiques nearby have a very limited selection, so my bridesmaids and I are unable to try their dresses on for size, but they are available online. I did a search and saw mixed reviews, some said AA runs true to street size, some say they bought a size larger and had to have significant alterations, and some say their street size was even too large. If you have an AA dress (bride or bridesmaid) how did the size of your dress compare to your street size?

Mrs.Vanilla: My girls are working on ordering now with alfred angelo. So far 3 of 6 have ordered and there sizing is a little hard. “A” ordered a 0 and wears a 2. “M” ordered a 4 wears a 6. the last “S” said she ordered her normal size a 10. “A” ordered over the phone because there was no a store near her she mesured her bust waist and hips and they helped her choose a size over the phone.

My street size was a little too small so I went a size up. I didn’t want to have to worry about getting the dress taken out since it’s easier to take it in. And even if I went with my street size I would have had to get the bust taken in so I’d get alterations no matter what. I just ordered my dress a month ago though so I can’t comment on how large the size up will be.

Mrs.Vanilla: Pretty true to street size for me but I think it would depend on build. I bought a size 8 floor sample (Piccione line) and it was maybe 2 sizes too big. I was about a 6 at the time. But the only relevant measurements would be the back and bust.
