i’m one of the lucky ones, my dress was in and paid for (in england) and the store i bought it from has announced today all their AA dresses are on clearance following the immediate closure of the company.
I genuinely feel awful for the brides who have been left in limbo and the employees who have been completely let down. i’ve seen various stores saying they’ll help brides out who’ve been affected if they have a receipt etc. it’s just horrendous for the women who’s weddings are soon and have paid out all this money!

I know, right? I found out because my last bridesmaid to get her dress (from a non-AA store, but one that carries them) called me yesterday to tell me that they weren’t able to place any more new orders! Luckily they had a sample in the right color (but a couple of sizes too big) that they sold to her for 50% off- so extra $ for alterations. All my other girls have their dresses in hand so that’s a big relief.
I currently have a flower girl dress outstanding with them but I’m not nearly as worried about that- those poor girls still waiting on their own bridal gowns from them! Luckily I didn’t purchase my dress from them. And I figure the worst case scenario is I pick up an off the rack ivory dress for my flower girl and make a sash from the scraps from my one bridesmaid’s alterations!

I can dispute the charge on my debit card as well (I paid for the flower girl’s dress). But all those brides who paid in cash? Heartbreaking.

bayoubee : I paid cash for mine and my heart drops slightly at the thought of what could have happened. Thankfully the store I got mine in carries lots of other designers so it wasn’t an AA store, but my heart absolutely breaks for everyone who’s been affected by it. From what I’ve seen on instagram from (ex?)employees apparently it’s been in the works for around year and they just got it dumped on them today and they all had to call the brides/bridesmaids etc and explain everything 🙁 what’s worse is the AA website had a “get it now or never sale” not too long ago, they obviously knew what was happening!

I just emailed a local store that carries Alfred angelo to see if I could get in on that sale… not even engaged yet, but it never hurt to try!
