I’m about 98% sure I found my wedding dress. It’s a gorgeous Alfred Angelo that makes me feel like a million bucks. Our wedding is in October. I know I need to order it soon but how long do they generally take to come in?

did you get it from an Alfred Angelo store or another bridal boutique? I tried on dresses at an Alfred Angelo store and they told me a couple of months to get it in. They also said they could get a rush order in about 2 weeks for an extra $75. It may be different in a boutique that carries the Alfred Angelo dresses.

My sister ordered her wedding dress and our BMs dresses and everything was back in about 8 weeks. It was a custom order b/c she is extra tall and it still came back in record time.

Wow, these timelines are all over the place. Guess it depends on where it’s ordered from? I’ll be ordering mine through a bridal salon, not an actual AA store. Should I expect it to take longer considering where it’s coming from?

@UpstateCait: Mine was from a salon as well. They said 3-4 months on average.

Another option to consider…if you have already tried on the dress and know the size that you need, you can order directly from an AA store and have them ship you the dress. That’s what several of the BMs did for my sister’s wedding. The store was in Richmond, VA, and the Bridesmaid or Best Man was in SC. They e-mailed a card authorization form that you have to fax back, and verify the dress and the size prior to ordering. It was pretty convenient.

@UpstateCait: There are 3 AA stores in NY- Greece, Tonawanda and North Syracuse. If one is within a reasonable distance I recommend you go through them. I drove 2 hours to the nearest one and I can tell you nothing beats going to the actual store.
