I’m really liking the idea of picking out Alfred Sung dresses, choosing the color and fabric I want, and then letting my girls pick the style. The problem? I’ve seen pictures of AS dresses where I either totally love the way the dresses look, or don’t like them much at all.
So, point being, does anybody have pictures of themselves of their BMs wear AS dresses – and if so, could you let me know which fabric they’re in? I don’t care what color.
Thanks Bees! 🙂

I chose two Alfred Sung dresses in midnight for my girls, but they won’t be in until April 4, so I don’t have real life photos to share with you yet. They were both brand new styles, and we had to basically order them sight unseen, so I’m a bit anxious for them to come in and see what they look like! For reference, these are the styles we went with:

I allowed all of my girls to pick out their own Alfred Sung dress as well. They aren’t getting them until the end of April, so I don’t have any pictures. The only restrictions I gave them were the dupioni in midnight in a shorter length, and the rest was up to them. They all ended up picking pretty similar dresses though, but I was happy with their choices.

Here’s an alfred sung in dupioni silk, that my Maid/Matron of Honor tried on when we were dress hunting. I thought it was beautiful, but we ended up going with something else:

My girls wore a couple different alfred sung dresses in dupioni silk, the color was niagara. The quality of the dresses were fantastic, and the color was gorgeous. We ordered them from bestbridalprices for about half the cost the bridal salon quoted.

I offered my girls any dupioni dress in quarry and they all picked the scoop neck one. My only tiny thing was I thought the fabric was a little bit thin, especially like in the bottom right corner where the sun is really shining through.

Thanks bees! They really are beautiful dresses. Anybody feel like disclosing what your BMs paid? I saw them for all around $160-175 on Weddington Way but I know some of my girls said they would feel more comfortable buying directly from a salon…
