Does anyone have any REAL pictures of themselves or their bridesmaids wearing Alfred Sung dresses in Quarry and/or Ebony?
Also – does anyone have any photos of their wedding party wearing any of the following Alfred Sung styles: D459/D463, D460/D464, D446/D438, D461/D465, D449/D441, D440/D448 or D439/D447. They are all considered to be “cocktail length”.
I would be so happy to see any of those in ANY colour! My bridesmaids tried a few on in the store, but the sample sizes didn’t fit any of them, so it’s so hard to get a true idea of how they will look.
Thanks so much in advance!!

@hb2334: I have seen a few of the quarry dresses! Check out this link:
Emily — or anyone else who wants clipart
And also, another bride on this board, posted about her quarry dresses too: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/grey-bridesmaids-dresses
My girlfriends are concerned that the waistline will not be flattering on them. They feel that the way the dresses pucker, makes them look inflated around their bums…. I sort of like the way they flare though, as I feel it makes them fun and festive….. Dilemma!

I am having my maids wear dresses in ebony; I do love the qurry, but it only comes in the dupioni fabric, which my Maid/Matron of Honor, mom, and I were not crazy about. It reminds me a little of curtains. Anyway, I ordered the swatch of the ebony, and it is MUCH darker than the quarry, so if you haven’t already I would suggest ordering swatches. I think the ebony only comes in the peau de soie fabric.
My Maid/Matron of Honor tried on 439 and it looked great; the waistline actually does not look bad at all, the the flare in the back is very very cute. It was one of the reasons we chose 439 as one of the three options I am giving the girls.

@carly5482: Hi Carly, that is funny – I quite like the dupioni fabric – it has sort of a vintage feel which suits what we are going for.
But I much prefer the darkness of the Ebony colour. So I am having quite a dilemma!
I think the Ebony will be beautiful. My fiance always liked the idea of having the entire bridal party in black, but I wanted something less standard. So the slate grey colour was a happy compromise. We are going with grey and yellow (which seems to be increasingly popular!! we keep seeing examples of it everywhere!!)

@eatdrinkandbemary: Thank you for the link! I have been stalking this line for a while. I have seen it in the shops, but not in quarry-which is my color of choice. I have to say in pics, the quarry reads very silver and very shiny. Not really what I thought….Hmmmm…
Thanks again!!
