    I am 5’3″ and I tried on an Amsale Tyler (similar style) and I loved it.  I don’t think it overwhelms because the design is simple (not too much beading, etc)

    I was an Alita Grahm bride! It doesn’t seem like there’s many out there. Here’s a picture of me in my dress.

    @bridalblush: Thanks! Honestly, I haven’t seen another bride in my dress which I personally love. As for going all the way to NYC fo my dress. Well, my husband’s family lives in North Jersey and we were up there right before their annual blowout sale, so I stayed a little longer and got my dress. When I brought it back, my alterations lady LOVED my dress.

    That dress is amazing and $2800 is the correct price. I almost bought it. I loved it so so so much. I don’t live in NYC though and it was going to be very tricky to get back there to get the dress when it came in, do the fittings, etc. Amazing dress though. I loved the movement. It felt so floaty and romantic.

    @skbride:

    FYI -You do not need to have your alterations done at Kleinfeld’s if you buy your dress there. I’m in dress limbo with a dress I may be purchasing through them right now (I already bought one through them last month and immediately changed my mind once…i went back to reselect yesterday and am still unsure about my reslection choice (which happens to be another Alita gown)…I have until tomorrow to make my decision). I live in VA and my wedding will be in RI. If I do move forward with the Alita gown,, I’m having them mail me the gown and getting my alterterations done elsewhare…just wanted to mention that to you in case that happens to be your “dream dress” and have not found another one yet! =) Good luck!

    I really wish they sold these in Canada somewhere!
