I am all aboit the bling! I feel like i might be trying to over accessorize, and i neex your help! I’d love to just try it all on with my dress and make decisions, but I am getting married in 30 days and my dress is still with the seamstress.
Here’s the dress:
I have always loved pearls and pearls is part of our wedding theme. My dress even has tiny pearls in it. My sister (and MOH) wore a pearl headpiece when she got married 10+ years ago that I was thinking of reusing as my something borrowed and as a nod to my sister. Here is whay the shape of it looks like, and here is how she wore it.
Any ideas on how to have my hair done with this headpiece without straight up copying her hair? I haven’t been able to see any other headpiece like this (small round full circle) for inspiration.
Here is my veil:
So, with all of that in mind, how much jewelry is too much? What style would you we’re? I was thinking about something like this. Too much? When I tried just my dress on (no headpiece/veil/etc.) I felt like I needed a more substantial necklace like this (as opposed to something dainty).

I would recommend wearing 2 of the 3 pieces. All 3 would be too much. I had a friend did that and yea…it looks really busy around her head and neck area lol…
I’m not sure about hair style to incorporate the head piece but I think your hair looks nice down based on the two photos above. Perhaps a half up half down style?

I just want to tell you LMAO I almost posted this same thread! My dress is just like yours, bodice of bling. I love pearls. I have a veil with crystals (bought that before my dress). And I love that necklace! One problem you didn’t mention tho 🙂 I have lots of rings and I keep trying to pick a combo to wear but then does that take away from the e-ring? Haha.

beethebride : since the top of the dress has a lot of detail, I’d skip the necklace. Instead I would do the head piece (which is beautiful btw), pearl/diamond studs and a bracelet stack of a ton of bling. The bracelets will balance out the bottom half of your look with smooth skirt.
For the headpiece, I think half up/half down with loose curls would be nice.

I would wear a bracelet and drop the necklace

Your dress is so pretty! The necklace is too much and will distract from the dress. Wear the veil and headpiece with SMALL earrings. Studs. Are you wearing glasses? I always find glasses add to the over-accessorizing. You can wear a nice bracelet too.

Way too busy! I would skip the necklace and do small pearl drop earrings

I think the necklace set would be wayyyy too much with your dress. They would compete instead of compliment one another imo. I would drop the necklace all together and go for the pearl headpiece, veil, and some dainty pearl drop earrings. Maybe wear your hair like this?

I would also drop the necklace. It will just compete with that beautiful top! Wear a couple of bracelets and some drop earrings! I am not exactly sure how to do your hair with that headpiece, but I’m sure your hairstylist can recommend something!

I love love love your dress, and I think that the pearl headband thing is gorgeous and a great way to incorporate something borrowed.
However, I would not wear the necklace if I were you. The bodice of the dress is so sparkly and intricate, the necklace would just take away from it. Maybe wear the earrings, but save the necklace for another time.
You look gorgeous, bee! enjoy the month leading up to your big day

Just like what they said. Forget the necklace and opt for a pair of drop earrings or studs instead.

I like everything but the necklace it seems to big.

I think the necklace you’re wearing in the 2nd pic would work better than the one you posted or maybe a more simple pearl necklace?
I’d probably opt for some blingy earrings and either a very plain necklace, or none at all…BUT! It’s your wedding day?! Go all out if you want to!
