Fi and I will be taking our Epics with our wedding photographer in a couple months. It will be VERY cold (December)and in Colorado. Do you think it would be off if I wore all black? Would it photograph well? Have any of you done this before? I just have a thing for all black.. lol I am thinking a black pea coat, black boots, black stockings (something funky like polkadots ) with some type of scarf , gloves and hat.
Thanks for your input!

Look at these pictures. Add a pair of jeans like she did & it works if you ask me! Plus these are in the winter! She did add some color but its close enough you can look at them & see if you would like to do it yourself.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: I am afraid it might look too drab 🙁

@MrsNeutrino: A photographer would advise you to not wear all black. It doesn’t photograph well at all and you might get lost in the photos. I think you can definitely do mostly black though, with some pops of color (think scarf, head band, shoes, belt, etc).
Here are some great winter e-pics – I think the color pops are especially important during this time of the year when the scenery doesn’t exactly pop. The color in these images is the first thing I notice.

Winter Engagement Session in Clarkston, MI and Oakhurst Country Club
whereas in these photos I think the subjects get a little lost in a lot of the images because they sort of match their surroundings:
and in these where they’re both wearing a lot of black:
If black is what you love, I say incorporate it but step outside of your norm for this and incorporate some color.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: 🙂 thanks, I think I will change it and put in some jewel tones or something. I am really not liking how the all black is looking in the epics..
