I’m having a semi-destination wedding, in that the wedding will be in NH and only fours guests I will invite live in NH at all, and only two actually live in town. I’m trying to get around 100 guests, but I have no idea what my decline rate will be like. The wedding is about 2.5 hours away from Boston Logan, which would be the easiest airport, so it’s certainly a bit of a hual to get to, and hotels are on the pricier side. I feel confident that the decline rate will be higher than the standard 20%, but beyond that I feel like it could be as great as 50% or as low as 25% and I really have no idea how many guests to invite to get to 100. I’m leaning towards inviting 140-150, but I just don’t know. On the other hand, my venue can fit up to 200, so it’s not a space concern if fewer decline, we’ll just have to pay more $$.
Have any other bees been in a similar situation? What were your numbers like?
