Is to punch someone in the FACE!
I had a biopsy last week, and odds are amazingly good that I don’t have cancer…but its not real unless the doctor actually calls me and tells me that…they said the results would be in by Friday, no dice, the doctor wasn’t. Was assured I would get a call on Monday…yeah, that didn’t happen…I call today, they promise he’ll call…and he did…
TO ASK WHY I WAS CALLING!!??!?!?!?!?
Top that off with an awesome diatribe from our receptionist who suffers from chronic foot in mouth disease…she hears me talking to my Dad about all of this and decides to chime in with,
“Oh…my ex had that, it was cancer and they had to take it out…too bad he didn’t die”
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?
Who says that, why would you say that, especially when you KNOW I’m waiting for some good news here…what was the plan?
Its a week until Christmas, and I debated delaying all of this until after the holiday, just to avoid the exact situation…but I let everyone talk me into it on the assurance that it would be easy, and quick and wouldn’t it be nice to have that all squared away before Christmas?
In retrospect, this is the worst idea I’ve had in the history of my life and I hate all the things right now.

Oy. Fingers crossed for a good outcome!
Also, if you punch someone in the face, then you’ll probably get arrested… and who wants to spend the holidays in jail?

@DaneLady: …I know…No Hitting…not ever….but Geeez! Why would you say that?

What a nightmare!
Also, that receptionist. Basic filter, Sweetheart!
I hope you get your results soon! And I am also sure you do not have cancer.

@Nona99: That’s just it… I would NEVER say that! The only type of people who WOULD say that are clueless and tactless! Or at the very least have absolutely NO verbal filter.

@BrandNewBride: …I would think cancer might have some symptoms with it…I feel fine…but they have to tell me its fine…I hate this

@DaneLady: She honestly doesn’t, and I consider myself a pretty patient and tolerant person…this woman, is a moron.

I still would like to hit my receptionist in the face..but I won’t now.
I do NOT have cancer! In fact, all I do have is an extreme case of adrenal exhaustion from prolonged periods of stress….so its MY job to take it easy for the next year…ROCK ON!
In other news…the cloak officially has a hood, so I’m sitting pretty on the Christmas front, thanks to all the bees that give a damn, you ladies are my favorite!

This is excellent news!! I don’t blame you for feeling anxious and wanting to know! And the doctor… “um what are you calling about?”………………… oye.
But, now you know you’re cancer free, and you LITERALLY have a doctor’s excuse to take it easy for a year! Nice!!

@Nona99: I’m so happy everything is okay!!!! What good news! I would have been a nervous wreck!
I seriously can’t believe that receptionist and doctor! Send a pile of poo to their office. Maybe they’ll get the hint?
Is that childish? Of course! Immature? Definitely! But so is saying that you wished your father had died from cancer to a potential cancer victim!
Merry Christmas bitches!
