We went to our first ever all-inclusve for our honeymoon to Privilege Aluxes on Isla Mujeres, outside of Cancun. It was soo awesome! The island was so laid back & relaxed we felt super safe even walking around at night. The resort was so clean & perfect & the service was spectacular as well. We booked through expedia only because we got married there as well & my bro came to be our witness but doesn’t have a card to book anything with. So we had to use expedia since we had multiple flights, destiations, etc. Had we not used expedia we would have used apple vacations or cheap caribbean….

The hotel is both all-inclusve and breakfast only so you can choose which level you want. If you watch for sales you can get a nice room for about $150/night all inclusive….

I really like Couples Resorts if you’re intersted in Jamaica (and now Barbados as well).  They are priced per night per couple NOT per night per person (as most all inclusives are).  They’re also NO tipping allowed.  People there get fired for accepting tips (though I did leave little gifts for housekeeping, mainly school supplies since they are expensive there).  They’re all adults only which is nice. I’ve only been to Couples Tower Isle myself, but both times we went we LOVED it.  Food was amazing-much better than I had in Mexico, but then again, I have not yet stayed in an adults only AI in Mexico.

I’ve been to Mexico a few times as well but never stayed at an Adults only AI, which I think is much better for a honeymoon so  I have nothing to reccomend there.  The tipping in Mexico is crazy though and expected. But there is a lot to see (ruins, etc.) so I must say I do love Mexico.

We went to the Valentin Imperial Maya for our honeymoon, and it was fantastic! We spent a little over $2,000, but in another season, you might find a better deal. I booked it through a travel agent because they had a lower down payment that booking it myself online.

I have been to one of the Couples resorts in Jamaica, and they are great as well. But I think I liked Mexico even more.

We also went to the Valentin Imperial Maya and LOVED IT!! We booked through vacationexpress.com, which allows you to make payments..I cannot say enough about the Valentin though!! Wonderful food, service, drinks. We upgraded to the Silver Jr Suite and the room was amazing!
