Need help deciding on our honeymoon!
Here’s what I want: a clean, comfy bed and beautiful views.
My relatives have given me their hilton timeshare as a present and I’m looking into Costa Rica and the Bahamas.
Bahamas Hilton Hotel: Great reviews, but not inclusive. 4 star hotel. Also very touristy. We’re more of an adventure type, but wouldn’t mind a luxury vacation with good food, spas and entertainment. I am worried about how expensive this place is, but my fiance says DC is prob just as expensive.
Costa Rica Hilton Hotels: All-Inclusive, but reviews are eh. Apprently they are more 3 star than 4 star. No white sand beaches, there are nice pools, tons of exciting tours we can do (hiking to volcano, surfing, jungles). Also, I have horrible allergies and I’m worried this place isn’t for me. This is supposed to be a honeymoon right?
What do you think? What are your experiences?

Did you check on the travel alerts for both of those area’s. I would start there.

Flights are affordable for both places. Just want a nice hotel with tons of things to do.

If you say you’re the more adventurous type, then go to where the stuff you love is offered. It sounds like Costa Rica would provide you with your adventure. HOWEVER, ask yourself if that’s the kind of stuff you want on, like you said, your honeymood. Do you want to do all those excursions and go buck wild or do you want to relax together on a nice beach and enjoy the spa and food–something you don’t do everyday.

I’d go for the Bahamas Hilton. I think after the wedding some rest and relaxation might be more appealing than a constant adventure. Depends on how long you are going for but I think you could keep busy doing things like fishing, snorkeling, a day trip to Atlantis at paradise island, etc.
