You could look into Mexico or Jamaica – the Grabd Bahia resorts in both are beautiful!

I’m doing jamacia. The fee is much cheaper. Doing sandals, which is the sister hotel to beaches. All the wedding details are the same between the two resorts.

I just went to a Dominican wedding in May! It was at the Majestic Colonial. It was beautiful and kid friendly.

One of our favorite family friendly resorts is Azul Beach — a great boutique resort that offers a great wedding packages is a family centered resort. In Mexico to get married legally there are some hoops to jump through but a skilled travel agent is amazing at guiding you through the entire process without any stress.

I got married at Dreams Los Cabos in Mexico. I enjoyed it and they threw me an AWESOME wedding but it wasn’t necessarily my favourite resort. They are specifically designed for weddings so if your main focus is the “Big Day”, then I’d definitely reccomend the Dreams chain.

That being said, I’ve enjoyed other resorts more (food, activities, size, etc.).

My two favourites are Gran Bahia Principe Tulum and Moon Palace.

We’re thinking of doing Puerto Vallarta, in Costa Sur hotel. I have been there only once, but I am in love! I was about 15 at the time, I believe, and my brother was 12 and we were absolutely enchanted. I remember seeing quite a few children as well. The beach is actually closed off to have a “sea lagoon” so it is very swimmable and safe, with no waves, and has very clean water. I honestly think it is one of the kid-friendliest places I have ever been to, there’s just such a minimal possibility for danger and I don’t remember it being a party place either. The all inclusive wedding packages are very reasonable as well. It’s not the fanciest hotel out there, but I’m sure you and your daughter would love it!

I don’t have a little one coming with us, but my cousin will be only 16 so adult only resort is out of the question. I’m going to keep tabs on this! I already have the down payment for the jellyfish restaurant in Punta Cana, now we’re just looking for the all inclusive family friendly resorts!

also my fiancé and I plan to get legally married the weekend before in the us to avoid all the hoops you have to jump through to get legally married. we both agreed to only celebrate our destination wedding anniversary

The grand palladium in Jamaica throws amazing weddings, I saw about 5 of them when I was vacationing there, the resort has so many spots for ceremony and reception and some are very private and the flowers and decor looked awesome. The resort itself is really great too, food and drinks are good and the resort is very pretty.

I also attended a wedding at dreams Palm beach in Punta cana and while it was nice, the locations to get married in are very public and there were onlookers and you could hear music blasting from the pool in the background. It’s just because its a smaller resort I guess. they took care of all the details though and the photographer was really great, they ended up with amazing photographs (I was worried how resort photography would look).

peegee :  I’m planning my wedding in jamaica and have chosen Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, recently have been hearing bad things about the service there though which is scaring me! The resort was great when you were there though? People either seem to love it or hate it!

Miami! Florida is perfect for destination weddings, and is really family orientated 🙂 the $400 fee is really high IMO. I would rather put that money into my dress or venue, but that’s me. As for all inclusive do you mean resort or package? There are some package ideas here you can look at and customize as well to what you are wanting http://new.bestmiamiweddings.com/wedding-packages/. As for venues, there is a great list here that are absolutely amazing in the South Florida Area! http://new.bestmiamiweddings.com/wedding-venues-locations/

Florida is a great option because there is so much to do there for the guests, and arriving there is pretty easy from anywhere!
