I’m trying to plan a honeymoon and due to frustration I am posting on this forum for help. I’d like for the trip to be all inclusive because being on a budget I don’t want us too concerned about money while we are on the honeymoon. I’ve looked at some Sandals resorts, but since we’ve been to the Caribbean before it isn’t as attractive. I’ve thought about Hawaii, but I haven’t come across all inclusive deals(meals, drinks, etc). I pretty much ruled out Eurpore due to expenses and the potential loss of days from jet lag.
I’m clearly on a budget and would like to keep the honeymoon under $5,000(under $4,000 is ideal). I’d like for our honeymoon to be at least 7 days during the week of May, 22 2011 since the wedding is on May 21st.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

We went to Aventura Spa Palace in Riveria Maya Mexico. While I wasn’t overly impressed with Mexico, the resort was gorgeous and very accomodating. We went for 7 days at the beginning of May and I think it was right around $5,000. We upgraded to the Conceirge level room. But, we saw the lower level and it didn’t seem any different. Food, drinks, and even excursions were included.

We’re having a destination wedding/honeymoon at The Royal in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Our full trip (9 nights, all-inclusive) is exactly $4,000. I think you’ll find that Mexico is cheaper than a lot of locations.

Thank you for your replies. I neglected to mention we’ve been to Mexico a few times also, but given my budget I’ll have to keep that as an option.

Where all have you been in the Caribbean? I’ve been to several islands down there and have found them all to be unique in culture and experience! Like the other bees said, Mexico is full of all-inclusives. Maybe try Belize, Costa Rica, places like that. The U.S. and territories don’t have a lot of all-inclusives that I know of.

We’re getting married on the same day! We just booked our honeymoon last week. We’re going to Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica (all-inclusive) for 6 nights for $3,000.

For affordable all inclusives, your best bet is Mayan Riviera Mexico or Punta Cana Dominican Republic for that kind of budget.

I wanted all-inclusive and not in Mexico. After doing much research, I realized we can get the nicest resorts in Mexico for our price range. Have you looked into Secrets Maroma Beach?? It’s in Mexico and made me change my mind about going there. Maroma Beach is one of the nicest beaches in the world as said by Travel Channel and Secrets Maroma Beach won an award for most romantic resort on TripAdvisor. Just an option! But I’d love to follow this as I’m interested in other places as well. 🙂

@magikmek: May I suggest this amazing all inclusive resort in Brazil, called Iberostar Praia do Forte or Iberostar Bahia (the Praia do Forte one is better)

Have you looked into RIU resorts? They have them all over the world?
Also, what about Belize or Guatemala? You can get some great all inclusive deals in central america.

Thanks for all the replies. Some good info and a lot to check out.
Based on what I see, Hawaii doesn’t appear to be in my price range nor do they offer many all-inclusive packages. If you know of any, I’m still open to suggestions.
I’d pretty much written off Mexico, but I honestly haven’t heard of the beaches @chickeybarr mentioned so I will have to look into that.
Mexico, Brazil, smaller Central American countries and a few all inclusive sites…I’m going to do a little more research based on the info posted and update the post.
Thanks again.
