My parents have been to a RIU hotel in Cancun and loved it – and we’ll do the same thing for our honeymoon. RIU has really nice hotels ๐Ÿ™‚ http://www.riu.com

The Royal in Cancun is fabulous.  Check it out on Expedia.

Excellence Playa Mujeres…just a few minutes from Cancun, but so much more private!

We just got back from Royal Palm’s this week and HATED it……so not worth the money. The food is so bad you end up eating off property most the time. If we could do it all over again we’d stay at a nice hotel and spend about what we did on food but minus the ” extra ” of the inclusive. Cancun has some great hotels though. Look for anything near the hotel district. If isn’t not near they clubs, shopping it’s a low end property…baring the one’s off the beating path.

so basically we paid double for a crappy hotel ..

We’re planning on spending part of the honeymoon at Xpu-Ha Palace.

I’m here right now and could write a novel on Cancun, Playa and Tulum.  We’re leaving tomorrow and I’ll write my novel then…   Suffice to say, I’m not a fan of the all-inclusive… but preferred the 5 days that we spent at a B&B in Tulum.  Much more to come later!

It took us like 10 minutes.  We did get in at 630 am, though and we didn’t get flagged for the random search.

We’re staying at the Coral beach and Turquesa in a month–i can tell you all about it then!

In my experience, food is a little sub par for all inclusive, but I am NOT a fan of venturing out into the towns at all…makes me nervous. I like to stay on the resort

My sister and brother-in-law went to the LeBlanc resort for their honeymoon and loved every minute of it.
